Recently, the Greater Grace World Outreach in Baltimore launched a new missions support initiative called Grace Promises. As a portion of the Greater Grace fellowship, our church in Ellicott City is planning to commit 10% of our offerings to support the continuing development of Greater Grace in Zambia. Established in 2005, under the leadership of Baltimore native Pastor Renaldo Brown, the church in Lusaka, Zambia recently graduated over 40 students from their Bible College, ordained several native pastors, and has planted churches in several parts of the capital city along with a new work in Kitwe, near the Congo border. Pastor Renaldo, who attended the very first church service we held in Ellicott City (June 1, 2008), has a vision to start an orphanage in Lusaka, where AIDS has left many children without families, and to send missionaries into bordering countries.
